As a skilled Therapist / Adoption Counselor, you are trained in the unique needs of foster and adoptive families and work to ease the adoption process throughout all of its stages. You travel to clients homes to meet with them for therapy on a weekly basis. The primary service areas include Gloucester, Cumberland, Salem, Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, and Cape May Counties.


You provide support services including in-home family therapy and individual therapy for pre and post-adoptive children and their families. The purpose is to stabilize placements and enable caregivers to meet the needs of children who have been exposed to abuse/neglect and removed from their birth families.


Your ongoing and individualized support is based on the needs of the family and achieves the ultimate goal of stabilizing placements. The foster to adoption process can be lengthy and frustrating, but you help our clients remember that it is incredibly rewarding. You will love being able to empower families and children and help them to move toward a bright future together.




  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field
  • LSW is required for MSW applicants
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Insured vehicle


Experience working with children and families is preferred but not required. Are you creative, dependable, reliable, and work well independently?
