Foster, Kinship and Adoption Counseling programs provide services to stabilize foster, adoptive and relative placements and enable caregivers to meet the unique needs of children who have been exposed to abuse/neglect and removed from their birth families. Services include: Individual, Group and/or Family Therapy, Life Story/Life Book Work, Parent Support, Advocacy, Follow Up.
Therapists work with families in their home on a weekly basis to provide above services in a supportive and educational manner, with consistency and continuity of care. Therapists are responsible for all documentation of services including assessments, progress notes and service plans. Primary service area will include Gloucester, Cumberland, Salem, Atlantic and Cape May Counties.
Therapists receive weekly supervision designed to maximize professional development and client stability and success.
This position requires a master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field. LSW required for MSW applicants. Experience working with children and families preferred.
Therapist will provide a variety of services, including in-home therapy, education, support and advocacy to adoptive/foster families in the South Jersey Region.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, use of insured vehicle.

Assume an active role in agency events.
